Quebec's got mountains EH?

THIS is what I signed up for this weekend...

The 57 mile/90km cycling course.

It may be hard to see but there's a 12% grade in there. I'm not sure I can even fathom how difficult it's going to be.

Next time a friend says, "Hey want to do a half ironman relay with me and one other at Mt. Tremblant?" I'm going to research it before saying yes. It's MOUNT Tremblant after all.

Needless to say, I will come back with stories no doubt. Hopefully not stories of me puking on the side of the road or walking my bike up a giant mountain!!

I'm afraid.

  2. It's OK to be afraid...it makes success so much sweeter!

You may not be on twitter, BUT you DO have MANY followers and supporters!

...hopefully this song inspires you a wee bit...written as a PWD but one who knows how you inspire the DOC and beyond!
(loosely based on 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' with the second last chorus having hidden meaning hahaha)

Listen, scully, ain't no mountain high
Ain't no valley low, ain't no river wide enough, scully
If you need a lift, call the DOC, no matter where you are
No matter how far, don't worry, scully
Just call them by name, They’ll be there in a hurry
    You don't have to worry

'Cause scully, there ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough, ain't no river wide enough
To keep you from succeeding like you do, scully

Remember the day you set yourself free
We told you, you could always count on us, scully
And from that day on we made a vow
We'll be there when you want us some way, some how

'Cause scully, there ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough, ain't no river wide enough
To keep you from succeeding like you do, scully

Oh no…scully, no wind, no rain
No winters cold can stop you scully
No, no scully, 'cause you are the bomb
If you’re ever in trouble, We’ll be there on the double
Just send for DOC, oh scully

Our love is alive way down in our hearts
    Although we are miles apart
If you ever need a helping hand
We'll be there on the double just as fast as we can

Don't you know that there ain't no HIGH… high enough
Ain't no LOW… low enough, ain't no distance FAR enough
To keep you from succeeding like you do, scully

    That’s right, we said…

Don't you know that there ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough, ain't no river wide enough
To keep you from succeeding like you do, scully

  5. Just keep moving your legs and you will crest every hill between you and the finish line. It might not be pretty but you'll get'er done. You're too stubborn not to :)
